Tenor saxophonist Gerard Nolan was born and raised in Dublin Ireland and began playing professionally at age fifteen.  In 1995, he attended the jazz program at the New School in New York City, where he developed his skills under the direction of such jazz luminaries as Dave Liebman and George Garzone.

In 1997, Nolan made a move to Los Angeles and could be found playing nightly at some of the most popular clubs in and around the Hollywood area. In addition to performing in the U.S, Nolan has performed at concert venues and jazz festivals in France, England, and Ireland.

Now residing in San Diego, Gerard Nolan received a degree in jazz studies from SDSU.  In addition to performing, writing, and arranging for various projects including Skirt Alert, Nolan released his first CD in 2003.  The project featured original tunes as well as classic standards.
