New Archive Show Up!
Over on Archive.org there's a new Skirt-Alert Show from 6-9-09 at Winston's . Go on over and dig it! James Bartoli gets designated "Grand Poobah" for the stellar recording work. BTW- THe video from that show was done by my brother Brooks, and soon the Audio from James will be co-mingled with the video, and we will have some cool sounding/looking stuff!
Skirt Alert are a Quartet from San Diego, CA. playing Jazz/Funk standards and originals. The band consists of Sean Martin (Guitar), Jason Littlefield (Bass), Gerard Nolan (Sax) and Bill Ray (Drums).
While each of the musicians have a list of their own personal merits and accomplishments, the overall paradigm of "Skirt Alert" sees them blending this 100+ years of collective experience into a brew of incredibly listenable and even danceable "Jazz/Funk Jam".
